If you didn't buy your Cape Cod "screwball" bracelet here, you've bought an imitation.
Proper Cape Cod bracelets are earned--first by finding this tiny, tucked-away shop and then by enduring the inevitable line...But you will rest easy knowing that you have real art (and not something cheaply made and mass produced) gracing your wrist.
The pottery is lovely too...

Village Library South Dennis MA
This "gingerbread house" of a library stands in the South Dennis Historical District. Once a cobbler's shop and (appropriately) the home of a poetess, this charming little building became the South Dennis Free Public Library in 1918.
Shiverick Shipyard Dennis MA
The first schooner launched out of Shiverick Shipyards in 1815. As Shiverick (and his sons) continued to build ships that would serve harbors worldwide, they moved the shipyard to the mouth of the Sesuit River. Shiverick was the only shipyard on Cape Cod able to build large Clipper Ships.
A plaque was dedicated in the Shivericks honor in 1924.

The Cape Playhouse
Located on historic Rte 6A in Dennis Massachusetts, The Playhouse is the country's oldest professional summer theatre. It has run summer theatre productions continously since 1927. Both Peter Fonda and Bette Davis, along with countless other stars, made their acting debuts on its hardwood stage. Housed in a former Unitarian Meetinghouse, the Playhouse still seats it's patrons on church pews (though they are now outfitted with cushions!)

The Cape Cod Baseball League
Drawing star athletes from all over the country, the League has been the start of many a professional career but more than that, it's a chance to see and show your children what baseball is supposed to be. Choose one of hte prettier venues(Chatham is gorgeous) and pack a picnic. For a little while, you'll be able to believe the world is the kinder, gentler place we remember. The Boys of Summer indeed.
